Questions you may have:
What is a flow switch?
A flow switch is a component in a combi boiler. A combi boiler is a “combination” of a boiler and hot water tank supplying both your taps and your central heating system. The flow switch senses when either the boiler or a hot water tap is turned on. If you notice that your central heating is working perfectly but you can’t get any hot water from a tap, it could very well be due to the flow switch becoming plugged up or faulty. (And vice versa.) Call Pro Ace Heating and Air Conditioning for any questions you have about your boiler or any other HVAC system.
What is a back boiler?
Rather dated now, back boilers were essentially heat exchangers hooked up to an open fireplace (behind the wall) or stove. The pressure buildup caused many older models to explode leading to a host of regulations applied to them. If your residence has an older back boiler, call us to discuss replacing it.
