Is it a good idea to close the AC vents in unoccupied rooms?

If you are not getting enough cold air in the rooms you spend the most time in, you should consider replacing your AC unit.  But you can close some of the vents in other rooms to see if it makes a difference.  The best advice here is not to close more than one fifth of the vents in the building.  More than that and the AC unit may begin to struggle.  If your AC unit is not sufficient for the building, it was most likely the wrong unit to install.  At Pro Ace we make some calculations to determine the right AC unit based on the square footage and other factors.
